Tinplate Coil
Tin-plated steel coil, commonly known as tinplate coil is a steel product with a stampable thin steel coil as the base, tin plating on the surface, and multiple protective films. It has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, non-toxic, odorless, glossy surface, light weight, high strength. In addition, it is easy to weld and process, and has strong adaptability to ambient temperature. Single cold-reduced tinplate coil can be supplied with either a bright, silver, stone or matt finish, and the finish required shall be specified at the time of ordering. Single reduced cold-rolled tinplate coil is generally specified in nominal thicknesses that are multiples of 0,005 mm, from 0,150 mm up to and including 0,600 mm. It is widely used in food, beverage, grease, chemical, paint, paint, aerosol cans, bottle caps and many other daily necessities packaging.
Tinplate(SPTE) is a common name for electroplated tin steel sheets, which refers to cold-rolled low-carbon steel sheets or strips coated with commercial pure tin on both sides. Tin mainly acts to prevent corrosion and rust. Usage Precautions for Tinplae
1.As tinplate is covered by soft metallic tin coatings, due precautions should be taken not to cause scratches.
2.Paintability, printability, solderability, and mechanical properties of tinplate tend to deteriorate as time elapses.
3.Although tinplae has excellent corrosion resistance, it tends to rust in a humid atmosphere. Use as soon as possible after unpacking.
4.Tin is dissolved by a strongly alkaline solution. When using tinplate for making cans for alkaline contents, paint the internal surface.
5.As contents that contain sulfur cause blackening of the tinplate surface, paint the internal surface.
